A cameo of Aristotle, in profile, is a symbol of a scholar or a philosopher or an academician. This cameo was hand carved in the 18th or early 19th century on the continent. Avery unusual royal blue and white banded agate was used for this, extremely fine, detailed carving. In order not to disturb the beauty of the cameo; only a simple, cast solid 14k white gold mount would do. The cameo is 11x15mm. in size; excellent condition.

We then carved and cast an elegantly curved 14k white gold mount would. The cameo is 12x18 mm. in size and in pristine condition.

An Edwardian, ca 1910, medal made of platinum and rose gold, with wonderful hand engraving and a 15 pt. full faceted bright medium blue sapphire. We salvaged the medal and carved a 14k yellow gold mount that shows it off to best advantage.

We use a special technique preserves the integrity of coin. This is the most famous of the ancient drachmas. The mount is hand carved in 14k yellow gold to accommodate the asymmetry of the coin.

A large (13x15mm.) original oval intaglio seal of the Roman era, ca. 200 AD, bezel set in a hand cast 14k white gold mount. The carved rich orange carnelian intaglio image is the profile of a classical maiden; the symbol of the womanly virtues. These stones were symbols of affluence and authority since the rise of civilization in the fertile crescent and were used well into the first half of the 20th century.

An intaglio in the shape of a horseshoe depicting a soldier on horse back holding a raised saber in his hand. The intaglio probably dates from the 19th century and would be worn by a cavalryman.
